The Opportunity

Lead the next chapter of FOOM’s growth across Indonesia. Play a business and financial central role in the decisions behind FOOM’s next transformation. Working directly with the CEO, you’ll help determine where growth makes financial sense and build the finance capabilities to support it.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll oversee Finance, Accounting & Tax. Working closely with all across functions, you’ll test the assumptions behind plans, assess investments, and explain the implications for profitability and working capital.

You’ll also develop the team and strengthen closing, reporting, and controls as transaction volumes increase. Excise expertise is essential: fiscal changes affect product economics and cash requirements, as well as compliance. This role needs someone who can advise the CEO with confidence and work though implementation with the team. Your contribution will be evident in reliable numbers, well-supported investment decisions, and fewer surprises in cash planning.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve business and financial targets that are set by management.Lead budgeting and forecasting, connecting financial plans with all across functions on company group level.Advise the CEO on investment opportunities, bringing together strategic and financial planning.Manage cash flow and working capital, with clear oversight of receivables, payables, and future cash needs.Lead accounting operations and month-end closing. Deliver accurate, timely financial statements and management reports.Oversee corporate tax and excise calculations, filings, and payments, supported by complete documentation.Assess how changes in excise rates and fiscal requirements affect pricing, margins, and business plans.Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness across accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax.Oversee cross-border financial transactions and reporting where relevant to FOOM’s international activities.Develop the finance team and provide clear analysis and recommendations to the CEO and relevant governance bodies.Regular reporting business and financial performance related to management.

What You Bring

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CA, or BKP qualifications, or relevant tax certifications such as Brevet A/B/C, are strongly preferred.Proven at least 12 years of finance, accounting, or tax experience, including at least 4 years in a senior role such as Finance Director or VP Finance within manufacturing or consumer goods.Direct experience managing excise matters, ideally in electronic cigarettes, alternative tobacco products, or other excisable goods.Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation and the ability to interpret and respond to evolving excise requirements.Experience building financial plans and cash flow forecasts that reflect commercial and operational realities.Experience leading accounting, tax, and financial control functions, with reliable closing processes and documentation that supports audit requirements.Sound commercial judgment and experience evaluating investments, assessing financial risks, and advising business leaders.The ability to develop a capable finance team and improve processes in a rapidly growing organisation.Experience with cross-border transactions and international financial operations is a significant advantage.
